Final Post

My entrepreneurial idea was to create an importing business of international products that create a relationship between the manufacturers of a country to a local non-profit organization unique to that country. That way the developed countries can help the developing countries build their business to benefit a larger whole, economically.

When first thinking of an entrepreneurial idea, I didn't take into account any technology. My idea evolved around a vision for a business that I would like to see. As we progressed through this project, starting from the meeting with our TA, I started to incorporate what we learned about all the areas of technology usage today. Starting from hardware to social media, I realized that no matter what the business, it could highly benefit from using technology. It can grow faster since technology barely presents any geographical barriers for diffusion.

My business has become very modern with the idea that it is meant to benefit people from the third world or developing countries who are mostly living in backward societies. This business will not only be giving opportunities to those people to expose their manufacturing potentials to a bigger client group but it is also bringing technology, education, jobs and ideas to those societies. Since now I can use several aspects of technology such as cryptography, cloud computing, social media, etc., there is the courage for the business to spread more confidently around the world. This business and many new businesses can get a really strong start thanks to technology.

In order to bring this entrepreneurial idea to life, I would have carefully select the product manufacturers and the non-profit organizations. Then form a business deal between them and me, along with legal papers. I would have to set up centers in the various countries where there will be a team of employees who will be taking into account all manufacturing data, monetary transactions going in and out from that country. Then I would advertise what we have set up so far. I would use social media, and local news sources to disperse the information about the non-profit organizations that we are building this business for and the unique culture based products that are being manufactured in a foreign country, that is easily accessible to anyone who would like to buy them.

Developing a very organized, detailed and aesthetic website is crucial to this business because it will sort of be the face of the company. Since this business will have a vast group of members, no one can personally advocate for legitimacy, quality, etc. Thus the website will be the main salesperson who will have to attract customers and campaign for the business. As the word of this company spreads, there might be other business in foreign countries who would like to join the partnership, or a government of a country might reach out to us in order to somewhat benefit their economy or their worldwide representation, through our company. So in order to keep all these business interactions in order, we need the software and hardware that will primarily do the job for us. A well developed database of gathered information to secure accuracy, is also necessary. Soon we will have to take bigger security measures since we will be involving various organizations and continuous monetary transactions will be going on. The basic positions in a business is definitely required for this company, but we will also need technology proficient team members who will be willing to learn new ways and also be able to teach other employees so that we can always adapt to newer technologies in order to improve our business, keep it safe and be financially successful and at the end, actually make a significant impact on the countries that we are working with.
